Scorchstar emerged from his den and looked around camp. His mind was clouded with Mosseyes. How could he feel like this? She was his Deputy. He would try his best to hide his feelings, but he didn't know how it would work.

Mosseyes was tired and confused from her hunt the other day and returned to camo for a nap. Now she felt much better. Well rested and to add on she even groomed her pelt that was a little rough. The she-cat stepped out of the den. The sun shining on her freshly groom pelt. She made her way over to the Fresh-kill pill for a bite. The deputy had only eaten once the other day so she was fairly hungry.

Scorchstar turned around and saw Mosseyes at the fresh-kill pile. He swallowed, he needed to keep himself together. If he lost it, then, he didn't know what might happen. Walking over to her he smiled slightly, "Hi Mosseyes" he mewed as calmly as he could.

Mosseyes was about to pick up at shrew when she heard her leader's voice speak her name. She looked to her leader, her heart again started to bet fast, "Oh Hello Scorchstar."

Scorchstar swallowed "So....." he mewed thinking of something to say. What was he supposed to say, withought making an idiot of himself. "How's hunting been?" he asked instantly feeling stupid.

"Well there seems to a fair amount of prey for leaf-bare," Mosseyes said with a smile. "I was about to eat would you like to join me," they young deputy asked.

Scorchstar smiled "That's good" he mewed then smiled. "Sure, I'd like that" he mewed taking a rabbit from the kill pile "Wana share?" he asked through the rabbits fur.

Mosseyes felt more calm, "I would love to." Mosseyes waited for her leader to pick a spot to settle down.

Scorchstar smiled through the rabbit. He walked over and layed under a bush that was lifted of the ground enough for a cat to stand under. It was shadowed. He set down the rabbit waiting for Mosseyes.

Scorchstar smiled at her taking a bite of the rabbit. "Know you" he purred swallowing the bite of rabbit.

Mosseyes bent her head and took a bite from the Rabbit and slowly chewed it. Swallowing she looked back at her leader with a smile.

Mosseyes waited for him to speak, but no words came from his mouth, "Scorchstar are you alright?" The Deputy looked at her leader with worded eyes.

Scorchstar licked the top of Mosseyes head as it when under his chin. He could tell he was purring.
