...and it is mine Lightkit cocked her head at the bird flying up ahead. She was intrigued at how it could fly. She wished she could fly. If she could fly, she would fly away from the world, from her life. For a kit, she had seen far too much of the darker side of life. There were moments of deep sorrow where she wished that rogue would have taken her life too. It would have been much simpler. The ginger kit shuddered at his haunting words;'I will let you live so you can remember to always fear the dark.' The kit wondered how much longer the shadowed memories would haunt her. The small kit muttered some bitter words to herself. "Without darkness, there is no light. With out light, there would be no me. But who really cares?"

Gentlespirit sat up in the clouds looking down at the lost sad soul. The white spirit hated to see and feel the sadness of the living spirits. The life of a living should be spent making happy memories that they could think back on when they had come to rest in the afterlife. The white spirit gracefully made her way from the clouds above to the kit. Her white paws gentle touched the earth of the living, but yet she felt no warmth from the sun about, she did not feel the dirt under her paws. Her blue eyes resting on the young kit, "I care." Gentlespirit's voice was warm and kind.

Lightkit nearly flipped at the sound of a voice. She looked over at the cat. There was something different about her, but Lightkit couldn't put her paw on it. "Who are you?" She asked, more curious than anything. (lazy)

The white cat gave the kit a warm smile, "I am Gentleheart." The cat slowly approached the kit and touched her nose to her forehead. This would help the kit fall asleep and enter a dream where Gentleheart could help the kit fell free.

"Why am I so sleepy?" Lightkit felt drowsy. She had no clue what possessed her to do that, but she didn't attempt to fight it. The ginger she-kit stumbled over and then curled up in her nest. Her eyelids shut. She still wondered who Gentleheart was exactly. She seemed different than most cats, something about her seemed to drain Lightkit of her usual bitterness.

Gentleheart entered Lightkit's dream and took her up to the sky. She rested the kit on a white fluffy cloud and spoke in a warm and gentle whisper, "Wake up little one." Gentleheart raised her head back up and waited for the kit to open her eyes.

Lightkit's eyes opened in slight confusion. "Gentleheart? Where am I?" She said, sitting up. Her eyes narrowed in slightly frightened confusion. Then she realized something, her blue eyes wide. "You're from StarClan, aren't you?"

Gentleheart gave the kit a warm smile and nodded, "Yes I am." Gentleheart turned to one of the close white clouds. Then turned back to the orange kit, "Come." The white she-cat leaped to the next cloud with grace and ease.

Lightkit followed timidly. Could she still fall, though it was only a dream? She stepped lightly on the cloud, happily surprised it didn't disintagrate under her paws. The orange tabby bounded along, feeling happier and more care free then she had in a long while. "Where are we going?"
