A orange and white pelt slowly creeped through the tall light brown grass. Her fur blended to some exstend, but her slince was the most important things. With the wind to her face the little rabbit, that was to occupied on it's food, would notice the cats prences. When the she-cat was close enought to the prey she got ready to spirit at the animal. With a great power push she sprinted at the rabbit. The small prey was to slow in the mind ot recat to the sudden threat. The Orange and white she--cat had already hook her claws on it's flesh and sank the final blow on the back of it's neck. Mosseyes, Deputy of EagleClan, raised from the grass with the rabbit in her jaws.

A large ginger body slipped out of the EagleClan camp. As he glided over the ground quickly and soundlessly. The handsome Tom looked around for prey. He froze. The whiskers on hid face twitched. He could smell rabbit. It was leaf-bear, and not much came out at this time. Hoping that he could get something for the clan, he leaned close to the ground stepping lightly. The rabbit was somewhere, but where? He couldn't see it. Then she heard a small noice. Looking around, he spotted it. The body of a rabbit, dashing after it at full speed he wished he could catch it. It saw him and bolted, bit Scorchstar didn't hive up the chase.

Mosseyes had placed the grey limp body on the ground and started to dig a hole tom store the prey tell she was done with her hunt. Then she heard a rustle in the grass not far from her side. The Deputy lifted orange and white head adn snifted the air. She expected to scent a naboring clan, but she got the scent of the ginger leader, Scorchstar. Mosseyes went back to digging the hole. After she was done she placed the rabbit inside, filled the hole, and went of to see her Leader.

Gaining on the rabbit he trudged on starting to loose speed. The rabbit wasn't. Letting one last burst of energy, Scorchstar grabbed one of the rabbits hind legs, almost stumbling as he stopped. The rabbit tried to kick him. Scorchstar placed a paw on the rabbit then killed it with one swift bite to the neck. The rabbit whent limp, but it was still fresh and warm. Placing the rabbit down, Scorchstar dug a whole and placed the rabbit inside. There was another sent that mingled with the smell of rabbit blood. It was the sent of Mosseyes, his deputy.

The young and strong Deputy started to approached her ginger leader, "Good Afternoon Scorchstar." Mosseyes's voice was was smooth like honey and had a grown women feel to it. Mosseyes was always mature for her age and she took her warrior life and training very seriously. Nothing meant more to her then her Clan and the loyalty that came along with it. She cared not for praise or the thoughts of others. Her opinion on this would stand out with all the others.

Scorchstar turned to his deputy, giving her a warm smile "Hello Mosseyes" he mewed in a kind way. His ginger tail twitched back and forth as he stood. His eyes where warm and kind. He was a void leader that cared for his clan and would do anything for his clanmates and clan to go along with it.

"I have never seen you hunt before and I must say you have great skill I wish I had," Mosseyes said with a envious voice. The orange and white she-cat always had the feeling she need to become better. The level she was at was never good enough for her. She had to know everything she had to be the best she could ever be. When Mosseyes was an apprentice she trained on her own outside the apprentice den every night.

Scotchstar smiled "You have great skill as well, why do you think you are my deputy?" he mewed, his question not ment to be answered, just thought about. He was a young leader, and still had a lot to learn about leading his clan. Most cars thought he would try and follow in his fathers footsteps. To take over the forest and make it one large clan lead by him. But Scorchstar wasn't like that, he wanted to lead his clan only, not an entire forest.

"I don't know in truth," Mosseyes felt like she was failing her leader. She could be so much better. Mosseyes could be come a stronger Deputy to help her leader even more. Could she really do such a thing? Mosseyes had been teased when she was young, because she set such silly goals. Well to others they were silly, but to Mosseyes they were the most important thing she had other then her Ego.

Scorchstar looked at her with caring eyes, he placed his tail on her shoulder. "You are an amazing Deputy, Mosseyes" he told her gentaly. "You are a good hunter and fighter, the best I could ask for" Scotchstar told her. He hoped that he hadn't made it worse. Being such a young and new leader, he wasnt very good at speeches just yet.

The young she-cat looked at her leader with shining moss color eyes, "Thank you Scortchstar." What was Mosseyes thinking she could not ask for anything more, but that did not mean she would stop training and trying to improve her skills. That was something that would never change about the Deputy.

Scorchstar nodded. He didn't know how he had done with his speech. It was hard to come up with encouraging words that would help another cat. He had never really been good with talking. But with the way he acted around others. And the way his eyes looked at them. His eyes where his way of talking to the world. All his emotions shone through his eyes.

The Deputy's eyes fell on her leader's and she was amazed by their beauty. "You have amazing eyes," The words slipped out like a flooded river. After the words slipped she was so embarrassed and shocked that she had said such a thing to her leader. What would he think? Her mind raced as she thought of all the negative things he could and might say.

Scorchstar was slightly surprised at his deputies words. But he just smiled. He didn't say anything. Though his eyes shone his surprise, and odd delight.

"Well..I mean....They just show so much life and emotion they just amaze me," Mosseyes said her head low and her gaze at the cold dirt. She was still waiting for her leader to make a funny commont on how stupied she was.

Scorchstar looked at her "Why would I be angry with what you said?" he asked her. A little couriouse to hear her answer. Why had she said that? The question was clear in his mind but not in anger.

Scorchstar smiled at the she-cat "You don't need to sound so sad and embarrassed" he told her. His eyes where fluffing with emotion, but most of it unreadable.

Scorchstar smiled back in a kind way. His eyes flooded with emotion upon emotion. It was hard to higure out, but it was there, all of it. The kindness, the genteelness, and maybe a little more.

Mosseyes felt like she was falling under his spell. Her heart was racing, her skin was growing hot under her fur. Then Mosseyes looked away breaking the deep gaze. "Well I should be getting back to hunting." Mosseyes got up from where she sat and started to pad away.
