Hunting

[Snakestar]

Snakestar padded around, his paws restless and his eyes serching. He looked around for anyone to come his way.

[Luckypelt]

Luckypelt padded through the brush quietly. She chuckled, as she imagined scaring Snakestar.

[Snakestar]

Snakestar looked around when he heard pawsteps, then shrugged as they stopped. "All well." He muttered out loud.

[Luckypelt]

Just then, Luckypelt jumped out of the brush and pawed lightly upon Snakestar's face.

[Snakestar]

Spitting with fury, Snakestar backed away from his attacker, then realized it was Luckypelt. "My own deputy!" He muttered good humerly. "You owe me for that!"

[Luckypelt]

Luckypelt quickly replied, "Why should I owe you when I did nothing wrong besides scaring you?" Then Luckypelt darted back to camp.

[Snakestar]

(Uh, I can't post by myself, so, like it or not, your staying! XD)

[Luckypelt]

(Staying what?)

[Snakestar]

Luckypelt trotted back an apologized to Snakestar. "sorry I scared you, Snakestar. I didn't mean any harm!" And then Luckypelt pointed to a spot on her calico face that seemed to be scratched. "I was just trying to prove that I can be a great leader some day! I was just... You know..." Luckypelt trailed off.

[Snakestar]

"You will make a great leader one day, Luckypelt. But I am still training you, remember that. You already have a compassionate heart, and I know that is a true trait of a leader." Snakestar meowed. "That is why I picked you."

[Luckypelt]

"Really?! I thought I was still treated like an apprentice, so I thought... yeah..." Luckypelt trailed off again.

[Snakestar]

"Nonesense. You are a warrior, but you are still learning to make a true compassionate leader." Snakestar meowed and placed his tail on his deputy's shoulder. "Luckypelt, I have large doubts that you will ever become a horrible leader. But you must learn to keep calm and give wisdom to those who need it. Only lead your clan into battle if its nessecery."

[Luckypelt]

"Do you see what the warriors of Bearclan have done to me?" Luckypelt gestures to the clawmarks on her calico face. "They destroyed the kit inside of me!"

[Emberpaw]

Emberpaw padded silently his ears pricked and listening for any sound and stopped. Voices. He dropped into a crouch though it was unsteady and moved forward. He paused behind the bush still listening to the voices, now he could make out the words. He hadnt seen all of the clans territory yet and so he wasnt quite sure where he was or how close to the border. Glancing around he saw a rock and jumped onto it so he could get a better view. He crept to the edge and looked over. He let out his breath, which he hadnt known he had been holding, when he saw Snakestar and Luckypelt. His fur which had fluffed up faintly in the excitement of things lay flat and he gave himself a few embarrassed licks before jumping down. "Hey..."

[Luckypelt]

Luckypelt flinched when Emberpaw hoppped down. "Ah, so this is my apprentice I have been told about. You will be a very fine warrior one day."

[Emberpaw]

Emberpaw purred happily and looked at his mentor "Thanks!" He looked at Snakestar and dipped his head in greeting to him. "Did I interupt something?" he asked curiously looking between the two.

[Luckypelt]

"No not at all. We were just finishing up hunting." Replied Luckypelt, as she shook her calico head no.

[Emberpaw]

Emberpaws eye lit up "Can I help?" he asked excitedly and went over to her. "I can help." he crouched, still unsteady, and stalked forward before leaping ont a twig. "See?" he mewed proudly and looked back at her. His tail flicked nervously, he wanted to make her proud to show her that he could be useful.

[Luckypelt]

"Sure!" Luckypelt exclaimed.

[Emberpaw]

Emberpaw beamed and troted back to her. "Ready when you two are"
